We had a great turnout in our Pumpkin Patch this year; about 60 students created a pumpkin decorated like their favorite character. Check them out in the video.

Fall Chat and Chew: That’s a Wrap!
Pink Library’s Fall Chat and Chew group for 4th and 5th graders wrapped up last week with a virtual author visit with Chris Healey, author of the 2015 Bluebonnet book The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom. Each week, 60 students met in the library to discuss the book during 4th and 5th grade lunches. Students came up with a list of questions to ask the author, and he met with them using Skype last Wednesday to share his experience as a writer and give answer their questions.
A.G. Ford Author Visit
Illustrator A.G. Ford visited our school October 26th. Students in kindergarten through 5th grade enjoyed his presentation! He shared his story about how “there are no geniuses” and how through hard work, practice, and determination he has become a successful illustrator. The kids enjoyed reading his books and learning his visual style. It was a valuable experience for our readers at Pink.
